map (Google Map)
Hiroshima used to have a large number of army installations. This is a former clothing depot of the army clothing factory. It looks like a brick building but in fact made of concrete. It was built so sturdy that it survived the atomic blast. Currently it is not in practical use and left as it is. Most of the many army installations once standing in the city were dismantled and now this is the single large-scale army legacy, which reminds you of Hiroshima Garrison. You cannot learn history only by visiting museums or reading books; you would learn more by seeing and feeling tangible structures. This building should be made open to the public.
