The office and maintenance factory of a forklift manufacturer, standing on the reclaimed land, is designed by architects TEZUKA Takaharu and Yui, married business partners. It looks like a hangar, as simple as a "box."

The structure is also very simple. The 0.6-meter-thick beams make a 45-meter span without any pillars. The office and factory are arranged inside using partitions.

The frontal face is 45 meters wide and nine meters high. The left half is for the office and the right for the factory. The office is again installed with boxes to make room for conference rooms, etc. The factory front has a sliding door of three panels, each of which is 7.5 meter wide and 8 meters high. The door can be fully opened.
