This commercial building stands in downtown Hiroshima, including a 150-meter-high
hotel, a department store, a hall, and others.
This building excels in how to present itself as an urban shopping complex.
Particularly, the layout of an open space and an atrium, the balanced open
space and stores, and the location of escalators are well examined. Details
are sophisticated, making the complex different from cheap shopping centers
in the suburbs.
The architectural design itself is not particularly special but this will make a good model for planners and students who deal with commercial buildings. Needless to say, it's a good place for shopping and dining. |
